How can we listen to space – when there is no sound out there?
Through sonification, an innovative method of converting data from satellites and measuring instruments into sound, we gain a new and physical experience of space science and space weather.
Welcome to a fascinating presentation with two experts in space data, space weather, and sonification: Alice Wallner (IRF) and Klaus Nielsen (DTU Space, Denmark), moderated by Gabriella Stenberg Wieser (IRF and from Fråga Lund).
The event is open to the public – from 12 years old – and is part of European Space Weather Week 2025 in Umeå.
