Public Procurement and Equality: A Legal and Economic Analysis of Its Effectiveness

Research project The project aims to describe and analyse the potential of public procurement to increase women's entrepreneurship and women-owned or women-managed businesses' participation as contractors.

More specifically, the project will analyse and identify legal, social economics and practical challenges and opportunities that may be associated with using public procurement as a policy tool to contribute to a more inclusive business community with a focus on an increased proportion of companies run and owned by women – that is; initiatives within what is called gender responsive public procurement (GRPP).
