Research

I research teacher educators' preparation of new teachers to teach for democracy in relation to digital technologies, such as fake news and AI. Examples of areas of interest are postdigital theory, teacher educators' profession-specific digital competence, and how their competence ultimately can influence young people's democratic participation in societies permeated with digital technologies.

I am part of the Swedish research consortium GRADEresearch, where nine universities collectively work to understand how the digitalization of society impacts education. My peer-review activities include international scientific journals such as European Journal of Teacher Education and Education and Information Technologies.
