I am associate professor in philosophy. My research has mainly concerned the measurement of various quantitative properties, some related to the social sciences, such as social welfare, freedom of choice, and equality, and some related to the natural sciences, such as similarity and diversity. From a broader perspective, I am interested both in the basic categories and methods that we use to understand the world and how we interact (and should interact) with it.
I have taught philosophy of science, critical thinking, normative ethics, theory of welfare, metaethics, political philosophy, decision theory, logic, epistemology, history of normative ethics, and philosophy of economics and social sciences (previously at Uppsala University, Stockholm University, Luleå University of Technology and Gothenburg University).
