Associate professor in Mathematical Statistics with a focus on spatial and spatio-temporal marked point processes on general state spaces, change-point detection, and trajectories.
My research focuses on developing advanced mathematical and statistical methodologies in several interconnected areas, including spatial and spatio-temporal marked point processes on general state spaces such as planar spaces and linear networks, change-point detection, and trajectories. In particular, by developing novel methodologies, I aim to understand complex phenomena across space and time in fields such as criminology, seismology, environmental science, epidemiology, transportation, etc.
I earned my PhD in Spatial Statistics (2015-2018) through a joint Marie Curie program conducted by three universities: Jaume I University of Castellón (Spain), the University of Münster (Germany), and Universidade Nova (Portugal). Following my PhD, I joined the Department of Mathematics, Computer Science, and Statistics at the Public University of Navarre, Spain, where I worked as a postdoctoral researcher (2019-2020) before being appointed as an assistant professor (2020-2022).
