Lars Fredrik is professor in economic history and works on economic development and structural change, human well-being and social welfare, demography, and economic geography

I am researching children’s upbringing conditions and how they impact health and well-being later in life using longitudinal data.

Mattias Näsmans’ research investigates how historical actors and processes have either created obstacles or facilitated the transition of society and the economy towards sustainability.

I work both at the Unit of Economic History, where I conduct research and teach, and at the Office of Social Sciences, where I handle matters relating to research and doctoral education.
