Macquarie Infrastructure Debt Investment Solutions (MIDIS) has financed a portfolio of seven on-shore wind farms in the UK.
The 拢60m (鈧75.9m) amortising facility was given to asset manager Capital Dynamics Clean Energy and Infrastructure Fund.
The 18-year facility will be used to recycle equity capital across the 55MW portfolio.
MIDIS, which invests in infrastructure debt for institutional investors, said the facility was made up of RPI-linked and nominal debt.
Kit Hamilton, MIDIS senior vice-president, said onshore wind was 鈥渙ne of the most established renewable technologies鈥.
鈥淲e anticipate increasing interest from renewable energy businesses looking for loan structures to match their cash-flow inflation profile,鈥 Hamilton said.
Rory Quinlan, Capital Dynamics managing director, said assets such as wind power generators needed alternative ways to access secure long-term funding.
, MIDIS said it raised 拢580m for its infrastructure debt strategy.
