Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA) and Singapore-based have established a data centre investment programme with the potential to scale up to US$2bn (鈧1.93bn) of equity over time.

Through a subsidiary, ADIA has mandated SC Capital Partners to invest in data centres across the Asia Pacific region with a primary focus on Japan, South Korea, Singapore, and Australia.

Additionally, ADIA is investing into SC Capital Partners鈥 pan-Asian opportunistic investment strategy to tap into a wider real estate market.

鈥淭his new programme complements our existing pan-Asian opportunistic strategy and allows us to significantly scale up our data centre capabilities and platform in the fastest developing data centre region in the world,鈥 said Suchad Chiaranussati, chairman and founder of SC Capital Partners.

The launch of the data centre investment programme follows the creation of a pan-Asian data centre platform subsidiary, SC Zeus Data Centers to provide a 鈥渙ne-stop鈥 solution to investors.

SC Zeus Data Centers, - a vertically integrated platform headquartered in Singapore with a presence in China, Hong Kong, Japan, South Korea and Thailand - will manage the new data centre investment programme with ADIA.
