A Polish clean energy development venture between Kajima Europe and Griffin Capital Partners has sold a 35MW solar farm to Enea Group.
The venture known as PAD RES has sold the Genowefa Photovoltaic Farm near Kleczew in Greater Poland Voivodeship for an undisclosed sum.
Construction of the site began in April 2022 and the farm started producing energy in August 2023.
Pawe艂 Majewski, CEO of Enea, said the company has recently accelerated its efforts to increase its installed capacity in renewable energy sources, adding that the purchase of the Genowefa Photovoltaic Farm is a confirmation of Enea鈥檚 commitment to the transformation of the energy sector.
Majewski said the company currently has a 525MW project pipeline and also intends to have around 800MW of projects with issued construction permits in 2024.

J臋drzej Socha, SVP of investments at Griffin Capital Partners, said when the company decided to enter the renewable energy market in Poland, it saw the many opportunities for development and growth in this sector.

Thanks to the work of the team, PAD RES鈥檚 renewable capacity now exceeds 2GW, making it a leader in Poland鈥檚 emerging renewable energy sector, Socha added.
Julian Rudd-Jones, director at PAD RES, said: 鈥淪ince 2022, we have acquired 13 projects with a total capacity of 450MW with grid connection conditions, and we also have additional active investment plans 鈥 we are planning to start construction of another 140MW of photovoltaic projects this year.鈥
