厂迟辞苍别辫别补办鈥檚&苍产蝉辫;shipping container lessor Textainer is acquiring marine container leasing company Global Sea Containers (Seaco) for $1.75bn (鈧1.6bn).

Typewriter Ascend, owned by Textainer has agreed to buy Seaco from Bohai Leasing.

Seaco, founded in 1965, is a global company that today owns and operates a container fleet of over 2.4 million 20-foot equivalent units supported by more than 360 depots and 23 offices worldwide.

Olivier Ghesquiere, Textainer鈥檚 CEO, said: 鈥淲ith the combined expertise and resources of both companies, our business will be better positioned to serve its customers with expanded available inventory and a broader range of container solutions.鈥
