A subsidiary of the Temasek-backed Sembcorp Industries has entered into a joint venture with Indian energy marketing company Bharat Petroleum Corporation (BPCL) to explore renewable energy and green hydrogen projects across India.

The joint venture will also consider projects in green ammonia production and bunkering, emissions reduction for port operations and other emerging green-fuel technologies.

Vipul Tuli, president and CEO, renewables, and CEO of hydrogen business at Sembcorp, said: 鈥漇embcorp鈥檚 collaboration with BPCL seeks to support renewable energy and green hydrogen development in India.
