Quinbrook Infrastructure Partners has won contracts from the UK鈥檚 National Grid under its Stability Pathfinder鈥檚 programme to build two new synchronous condensers.
The Queensland-based firm won additional contracts from the electricity system operator for what is known as Phase 3 of the Stability Pathfinder Programme.
In including previously awarded contracts, Quinbrook expects to now make a total investment in Stability Pathfinder projects exceeding 拢430m (鈧�491.7m) as it builds out the portfolio in England, Wales and Scotland over the next 2-3 years.
Quinbrook鈥檚 new synchronous condensers will provide critical grid support services, enabling the safe and stable addition of more renewable energy to the UK power system.

National Grid launched the Pathfinder programme in 2019 to source critical grid stability services from other technologies.
