Bouwinvest and two other global institutions among Logos鈥檚 existing long-standing investors have invested with Logos to establish a South Korean venture with an investment capacity of US$1.3bn (鈧1.12bn).

Robert Koot, director of Asia-Pacific at Bouwinvest Real Estate Investors, said the latest investment expanded Bouwinvest鈥檚 logistics footprint in the region

Bouinvest had become a founding investor for the new venture with Logos because it believed in the compelling long-term fundamentals in South Korea for development of quality assets, he said, adding: 鈥淭he strategy also complements our current logistics investments in Australia, Japan, Singapore and China.鈥

Logo鈥檚 managing director and co-CEO, Trent Iliffe, said: 鈥淜orea is an important market to complement our regional growth and expansion into North-East Asia.鈥

The South Korean venture represents Logos鈥 31st logistics real estate vehicle and sees the Group鈥檚 total assets under management increase to more than US$19.6bn.

Logos entered the Korean market in mid-2020 and has sourced an attractive pipeline of development sites for this venture.

Over the next few months, the company said it would announce a steady pipeline of speculative or build-to-suit logistics facilities for its customers in key logistics locations across Korea.
