Indiana Public Retirement System has approved a $75m (€64.5m) commitment to a grocery-anchored US shopping centre fund managed by Longpoint Partners.
The pension fund disclosed in a board meeting document that it committed the capital to Lena Specialty Grocer Fund III.
Fund III, which seeks to invest in core-plus properties, targets net internal rates of returns of between 8% and 12%.
Longpoint did not respond to a request for comment.
Indiana PRS said it has also invested $15m in Macquarie Project Beaker and placed $8m into the EnCap Energy Capital Fund XII Double Eagle V as part of co-investments made through its real assets portfolio.
Earlier this month, Macquarie Asset Management secured $1.3bn in co-investment capital. This contributed to the over $8bn final close of Macquarie Infrastructure Partners VI, a fund that targets sectors such as transportation, digital infrastructure, utilities/energy and waste.
