Macquarie Capital Principal Finance has made further investment in the UK biogas sector with the acquisition of a majority stake in a greenfield anaerobic digestion development.
Macquarie Capital said its investment in Evercreech Renewable Energy will fund the construction of the plant, which is expected to begin injecting green gas into the UK鈥檚 national gas network by early 2022.
The Evercreech plant will be constructed on an industrial estate in Somerset, in the South West of England.
It will become part of Macquarie Capital鈥檚 existing Adapt Biogas. Macquarie Capital acquired a majority in Adapt Biogas in 2019.
