US utility Evergy has acquired a $250m (鈧�245m) wind farm in western Oklahoma from Scout Clean Energy and Elawan Energy.
NYSE-listed Evergy said it has agreed to buy the 199MW Persimmon Creek Wind Farm which achieved commercial operation in 2018.
Persimmon Creek has 80 General Electric turbines across 17,000 acres in Dewey, Ellis and Woodward counties in Oklahoma.
The renewable energy from the wind farm will serve customers in the Evergy Missouri West service area.

Over the next 10 years, Evergy plans to add more than 3,500MW of renewable energy and retire more than 1,900MW of coal-based fossil generation.
